He is survived by: his mother Lillie Whitt; his wife Carolyn Marie Whitt; his stepchildren, Justin Dean (Chasity Dean) of Mount Airy and Kayla Dean (Ben Trao) of Mount Airy; his siblings, Dennis Lester (Judith), James Lester (Sheila), Patrick Lester (Lynne), Christopher Whitt (Kim) and Kathrine King (Terry); and his grandchildren, Jayden Zavala, Cholee Dean, Tanner Dean and Madelyn Johnson.
