It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Dale Welch Sr. of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Edmond Welch and Viola Jane Wood Welch; and his brother James Edmond Welch, Sr.. He is survived by: his close friend Gary York; his wife Judy Johnson Welch; his children, Charles Dale Welch, Jr. of Dobson and Sherri; his son-in-law Barry Stockner of Mount Airy; his son Brandon; his daughter-in-law Melissa Welch of Dobson; his grandchildren, Taylor Kiser, Kendall Welch, Destiny Welch, Dannie Lynn Welch and Charlee Mae Welch; his great grandchild Madison Marie Tolbert; and his sister Betty Welch Jarvis (Neil Jarvis) of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with many, many close friends.
