It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arnold Childress of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Paul and Gladys Dollyhigh Childress; and his siblings, Shirley Freeman, Bud Childress, Doug Childress and Beamer Childress.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Jo Byrd Childress; his daughter Amanda; his son-in-law Jamie Gann; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Gann.
