He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Trantham; his son Johnny Trantham; his stepdaughters, Betty Wilson of Sylva and Nancy Owen of Sylva; his siblings, Ray Trantham (Debbie) of Dillsboro, Carl "Red" Trantham of Cashiers, Wayne Trantham (Arlene) of Tuckasegee, Elizabeth Bennett of Cullowhee, Fannie Mae Thompson and Frankie Johnson of Sylva; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Felicia, Thomas, Johnny, Satara and Elizabeth.
