He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Hubert Nations and Gertie Brooks Nations; and his siblings, Rosa Lee, Curtis and Luther.
He is survived by: his wife Nell Clayton; his son Ray Nations; his friend Lily Murcia; his siblings, Darlene Sutton (Ronnie), Carol Cook (John), Bill (Sheila), Zeb (Debbie), Lanny (Wilma) and Keith (Angie); and his sister-in-law Diane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
