He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McConnell and Azalee McConnell; his wife Jewell McConnell; and his son-in-law David Whittington. He is survived by: his children, Bradley McConnell (Meg) of Mooresville, Jason McConnell (Sarah) of Cornelius, Lisa Peterson (Chuck) of Huntersville and Carrie Whittington of Cornelius. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
