He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bernhardt and Margaret Bage Borman of Virginia; and his brother Leigh Borman. He is survived by: his wife Diane H. Borman; and his sons, Michael Borman (Jill) of New Jersey, Todd Borman of New Jersey, Mark Douglas of Virginia and Steven Douglas of South Korea.

Memorials may be made to: Mountain View Baptist Church, 5045 East Maiden Rd., Maiden, NC 28650, Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Borman Family.

“Dad always believed in and encouraged me to succeed in life. When everyone deemed me as an outcast and an underachiever, Dad reminded me- "Todd, you're a hard worker and just a girlfriend away from finding happiness and contentment" He would always stress the importance of maintaining a high credit score and not calling out sick because of a hangover. He would also acknowledge Diane, his wife for keeping him in line, and on a path of decency. Dad, us Borman's are not 'mushy" men, but I miss you.”
