She is survived by: her husband John Thomas Kiger; her children, Thomas Wayne Kiger of Lexington, Gary Lee Kiger (Jennifer) of Barnardsville and Rhonda Wallace of Lexington; and her siblings, Huey Elders of Lexington, Norma Jean Johnson of Asheville, Audrey Perry of Asheville and Correnna Barker of Bryson City. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
