He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Corbett Newsom and Jessie Cleo Henderson Newsom; and his sisters, Dorothy Newsom Hegler, Evon Newsom Galinskas and Maxine Newsom Parrish.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Manns Newsom; his daughters, Michelle Whitlock (Sam) and Lisa Brewer (Johnny); his grandchildren, Gabriel Whitlock (Kelly), Colbey Garrison (David) and Jordan Taylor (Wes); and his great grandchildren, Jackson Whitlock, Daniel Whitlock, Emma Garrison, Annie Garrison and Reid Taylor.
