She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenn Richard Covington and Josephine Hill Covington; and her brothers, Richard Lineberry Covington and Robin Lenn Covington. She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" Miller; her children, Quenda Miller of Lexington, NC, Melynda Horton (Duane) of Chattanooga, TN, Aaron Miller (Laura) of Raleigh, NC, Nathaniel Miller (Chandler McLean) of Raleigh, NC and Andrew Miller (Rebecca) of Raleigh, NC; her sister Jo Lynn Norris (Eston) of New London, NC; and her grandchildren, Will Horton, Melissa Horton, Macie Horton, Westin Horton, Marie Horton, Madelyn Horton, Waylan Horton, Walker Horton, Winston Horton, Madison Horton, Liam Miller, Claira Miller of Grayson Miller, J. J and Jack Miller.
