She was predeceased by: her parents, Auby Way and Pearl Byerly McDowell; her daughters, Phyllis Ann Swaney and Janice Swaney Pack; and her brothers, Wiley McDowell and Clifton Eugene "Gene" McDowell.
She is survived by: her husband William Baxter Swaney; her grandchildren, Christina Wagner (Wayne) and Jacob Barnes; and her great grandchildren, Hunter Goforth, Tyler Barnes, Mollee Wagner, Myles Wagner, Fallon Wagner, Lawson Barnes, Abigail Wagner and Skylar Wagner.
