She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Simpson and Audrey Lee Barham Simpson; and her sister Phyllis Simpson Hawkins. She is survived by: her husband Albert "Al" Penry, Jr.; her children, Robbie Lanier (Sherri) of Lexington, Mike Lanier (Tina) and Laura Lanier Walton of Denton; her grandchildren, Jerry Lanier (Sarah), Matthew Lanier (Hannah Lee), Gavin Walton, Emerson Walton and Jackson Walton; her great grandchild Oliver Reece Lanier; and her sister Glennie Goins (Larry) of Madison.
