It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Varner (Denton, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross L. Cook and Genie Lanier Cook; her spouse A. Clyde Varner; and her brothers, Lawrence Cook and Edward Cook.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Varner (Christie) of Denton and Kevin Varner (Dawn) of Denton; her sister Mary Etta Summitt (Jack) of Archdale; her sister-in-law Billie L Cook of Denton; and her grandchildren, Eli Varner, Alli Varner and Alivia Varner.
The family would appreciate anyone attending the funeral service to please wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
