He is survived by: his wife Carel Carpenter Dixon; his daughters, Lisa Mitchell of Coatsville, PA and Jan Dixon of Denton, NC; his siblings, Billy Joe Dixon (Ann) of Warrensville, Gerald Dixon of Thomasville, NC, John Dixon (Valeda) of Winston-Salem, Freda Jeandell (Frank) of Landenburg, PA, Betty Eldreth (Bill) of Lansing, Pat Freeman of Thomasville and Hilda Richardson of Archdale, NC; his stepchildren, Linda Osborne Kindley of Creston and Danny Osborne of Lexington; his grandchildren, Heather Mitchell and Calvin Mitchell; and his great grandchild Jada Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
