He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Hartley and Gertha Dennis Hartley; his wife Louise Newsom Hartley; his children, Kail Hartley and Gay Yates; and his granddaughter Danielle Yates.
He is survived by: his children-in-law, Sandra Hartley and Billy Yates; his grandchildren, Brandon Hartley (Catherine), Chrissy Morris (Eric), Dana Yates (Jordan Morris), Candace Yates and Hunter Yates; and his great grandchildren, Kailyn, Alyssa, Cori, Kamrin, Blake, Rustin and Dani Gray.
