He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Cox and Alma Bullins Cox; his former wife Ellen; and his siblings, Jimmy, Otis, Clinton, Lucy and Della Mae.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Cox Hill (Douglas) of Denton, Carol Cox Clark (Christopher) of Lexington and Cristal Cox of Concord; his sister Marie Thompson (Everette) of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Timothy Lamonds, Steven Lamonds, Tyler Tran, Dustin Cox, Chasity Myers, Andrea Conner and Daniel Everhart. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and many more family and friends.
