She was predeceased by: her mother Lois Carlie "L. C."; her husband Luther Vance Buie; her siblings, Lawrence Carrick, Myrtle Davis, Gladys Carrick, Mattie Newsom and Fallie Carrick; and her great grandchild Alora Buie.
She is survived by: her son Tony Buie (Peggy) of Denton; her sister Catherine Parker (Clay) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Gina Bourne (Danny) of Denton, Todd Buie of Denton, Chad Buie and Wife Janice of Lexington; her great grandchildren, Ethan Bourne, Austin Bourne, Miles Buie and Colton Buie; and her great great grandchildren, Aerith and Allison.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Summerville Baptist Church in c/o Charles Leach 3134 Summerville Church Rd. Denton, NC 27239.
