John Monroe Hewitt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Monroe Hewitt of Delco, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Hewitt and Bessie Williamson Hewitt; and his sisters, Emily Smith, Roselee Britt, Mildred Brown and Eloise Hewitt.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hewitt; his children, Connie Tyson of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Matthew Hewitt (Melissa) of Leland and Mark Hewitt (Peggy) of Leland; his grandchildren, Jack, Jonathan, Ryane, Meagan, Nathan, Charles, Shawn, Matthew Jr., Justin, Brittany, Ariel, Marc, Matt, April and Travis; and his brothers, Pearly Hewitt of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mack Hewitt of Georgetown, SC.. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
