He is survived by: his wife Joan Holland Hill; his children, Wendi Lauer of Apex, Scott Hill of Deep Run and Tyler Hill (Stephani) of Clayton; his sister Debbie Foss (Craig) of LaGrange; and his grandchildren, William Scott Hill, Jr., McKenzie Hill, Brayden Hill, Avery Lauer and Megan Lauer.
