She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix E. Gray and Verna B. Gray. She is survived by: her children, Roger "Ricky" Whitfield (Amy) of Deep Run, NC and Sonya Whitfield (Lisa Corner) of Princeton, WV; her brother Gene Gray (Iris) of Kinston, NC.; her grandson Justin Whitfield; her great grandchildren, Cassadee, Ellie, Caeden and Dawsyn; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Gray (Selina), Michelle Gray, Andrea Mills (Geoff), Lou Ann Gray, Cindy Gray and Lane Gray.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pink Hill Funeral Home (1056 NC-11, Pink Hill, NC 28572). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Deep Run Free Will Baptist Church (2390 John Green Smith Rd, Deep Run, NC 28525). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at the Deep Run Ofwb Church Cemetery.
