It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Deaver (Deep Run, North Carolina), who passed away on November 12, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Evelyn Sugg Deaver; and his parents, Jesse Jackson and Laura Belle Deaver. He is survived by: his siblings, Pete Graham Deaver, Robert Lee Deaver and Mary Virginia Tyndall; and his daughters, Elizabeth Goodwin (Bob), Peggy D. Pate (Ron) of Scott's Store, Joyce Deaver Bear (Gene) of Durham and Charlene Deaver Meadows (Aaron) of Kinston. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
