He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest N. Murphy, Sr. and Gretchen Murphy; and his sister Elizabeth Ann Harper. He is survived by: his wife Patricia T. Murphy; his children, Roger Baysden, Ernest N. Murphy, III, Rhonda Gibson (Phillip), Maria Moore (Michael) and Donna Barwick (Chris); and his siblings, Carol Chandler, Charles Murphy and Cecil Murphy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
