He was predeceased by: his father Simeon Greene; his former wife Annie Brown Greene; his wife Pearl T. Smith Greene; his sisters, Iris Howard, Lillian Nobles, Mable Parker, Ida Mae Williams and Dorothy Jarman; his daughter Frankie Penny; and his stepson Forrest Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Hilda Grace Peck of Arkansas; his children, Lucille Eubanks (Virgil) of Kinston and Timothy Greene (Karen) of Ennice; his son-in-law Thomas Penny (Frances) of Beulaville; his stepchildren, Cindy Scott (Wanda Marlowe) of Grimesland, Debbie Fauson (Richard) of Kinston and Gerald Smith (Brenda) of Deep Run; his grandchildren, Joy Eubanks, Russ Eubanks, Christopher Penny, Ginger Noel, Scott Greene, Kari Ann Warren and Savannah Spencer; and his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Bowers, Kristy Hill, Michelle Verhaeghe, Michael Smith, Bryan Smith, Hugh Benton III, Melanie Gaskins, Calvin Inman, Jake Inman, Matt Inman and Abbi Inman. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
