He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth M. Thorson and Naomi Garvey Thorson. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Walterman Thorson of Deep Gap; his daughters, Kimberly Mateiko (Steven) of Boone, Kelli Garcia of California and Kristi Stearns (Mark) of California; his grandchildren, Justin Pridgen (Tamara) of Weaverville, Jessica Mackie (Tyler) of Johnson City, Kirsten Garcia (Sweden) of Stockholm, Kyle Garcia of California and Madison Stearns of California; his great grandchildren, Maverick Mackie, Marley Mackie, Charles Pridgen and Chase Pridgen; and his siblings, Ronald Thorson of Sioux Falls and Marlys Goodyear (Dick) of Sioux Falls.
