She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Payne and Hazel Broyhill Payne; and her siblings, Caroline Payne Greene and Roger Payne. She is survived by: her children, Shane Suttle (Brenda) of Rutherford, Jason Todd (Amber) of Wilkesboro, Matt Johnson of Deep Gap, Kelly Sluder (Aaron) of Deep Gap and Crystal Sluder (Richard) of Johnson City, Tennessee; and her siblings, Colen Payne (Shirley) of Lenoir, David Payne (Tammie) of Lenoir and Patricia Townsend (Woody) of Lenoir. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
