We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2022, at the age of 84, Joseph Jerry Idol Sr. of Deep Gap, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lane Idol, Sr. and Annie Watson Idol; and his siblings, Joyce, Jack, John, Jim, Bill and Bob.
He is survived by: his wife Zola Payne Idol of Deep Gap; his children, Joseph Jerry Idol, Jr. (Sherri) of Boone, Teresa Small (Richard) of Franklinville, Lisa Erwin (Jay) of Deep Gap and Laura Brooks (Jason) of Vilas; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Ashley, Josh, Sam and Nolan; his great grandchild Sophie; his brother Steve Idol (Kathy) of Deep Gap; and his sisters-in-law, Evelina Idol and Margaret Idol. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and food memorials may be made to the Idol Family Cemetery or the Watson Family Cemetery in care of Steve Idol, 8821 US Highway 421 South, Deep Gap, North Carolina 28618.
