It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Sherman Elledge (Deep Gap, North Carolina), born in Hays, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Wiles Elledge and Sherman Elledge; his wife Geraldine Haynes Elledge (Gerry); his daughter Amy Maria Elledge; and his siblings, Helen, Brona and Burleson.
He is survived by: his children, John Sherman Elledge Jr. (Johnny), Martha Carol Elledge and Elizabeth Haynes Elledge (Beth); his close friend Jack Russell; his pet Ace; his brother Joe Elledge; his sister-in-law Betty; his children-in-law, Ellen Koch Elledge (Ellie) and Jason Gossett; and his grandchildren, Jacob Gabel (Kristal), Cody Gabel (Ashley), Candace Gabel Nelson (Tony), Jessie Gabel, Caleb Gossett, Connor Elledge, Tristan Elledge and Aden Gossett (Leandra). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
