Barry Wayne Greene Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Wayne Greene of Deep Gap, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newland Harvey and Marjorie Goulds Greene; and his siblings, Paula Greene, Allan and Marvin Greene.
He is survived by: his son Joe W. Greene (Kimberly Combs Greene) of Boone; his grandsons, Ethan W. Greene and Elijah P. Greene of Boone; his siblings, Melba Carter (Doug) and Jimmy Greene (Rosetta); and his close friends, Cindy Jones, Janice Cheek and Jerry Wellborn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel (683 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
