He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Milo Winovich; his sister Helene Vukas (Sissy); and his brother-in-law Milan Vukas. He is survived by: his wife Patrice Winovich; his niece Tanya Zajch (Kenny); and his nephew Milan Vukas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of George may be offered to the Palliative Care and Hospice of Iredell County http://www.hoic.org.
