He is survived by: his children, Frankie Archer (Cindy) of Mooresville and Vicki Archer Childers (Tom) of Cornelius; his granddaughter Erika Archer Hammons (Scott) of Statesville; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hammons and Keithan Hammons of Statesville; his sisters, Virginia Childress and Ruth Barnette; his sister-in-law Helen Christie; and his significant other Charlie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
