Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bobbye Jo Howell of Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 93, on April 13, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wirt James Hubbard and Icey Josephine Polk Hubbard; her husband Billy "Wool" Shaw Howell, Jr.; her brothers, William James Hubbard and John Reed Hubbard; her sisters-in-law, Joy Hubbard and Jamie Hubbard; and her daughter-in-law Robin Pridgen Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Sydenham Brevard Howell (Dee Rogers), John Mark Howell, Sarah Fairly Howell (Andrew Shryock) and Mary Robertson Howell; her grandchildren, John Mark Howell, Jr. (Lauren Almond Howell) and Eleanor Grace Howell-Shryock (Jonathon Zarger); and her great grandchildren, Aubrey Jane Howell and Jack Shaw Howell.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Davidson College Presbyterian Church (100 N Main St, Davidson, NC 28036).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Union Theological Seminary, Davidson College Presbyterian Church, or the Resident Support Fund at the Pines.
