He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cornelius Purdy and Edna Lera Goard Purdy; his son J. C. Purdy; his grandson Jason Ray Billings; his siblings, Jim, Tom Purdy, Frances Madelyne Wall, Mary Pulliam, Doris Truitt and Arleen Whitley; and his former wife Shirley Mabe Purdy.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanie Lasley (Paul), Johnny Purdy (Lisa), Judy Billings (Dean) and Don Purdy. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face coverings are encouraged.
