He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lemiley Lawson and Edith Mabe Lawson; and his wife Betty Juiet Lawson. He is survived by: his son Greg; his daughter-in-law Lisa Lawson of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law John Cothran of Mountain Rest, SC; his grandchildren, Jamie Rivera (Patrick), Eli Cothran (Maddie) and Henley Cothran; and his great grandchild Cohen Rivera.
