She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ruth and Myrtle Carroll Ruth. She is survived by: her husband Glenn Ballard; her daughters, Glenda Crowell (Kevin) of Bessemer City and Karen McSwain (David) of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Danielle Williams (Jameathan), Joshua McSwain and Lydia McSwain; her great grandchildren, Laina, Dalton and Harper Williams; and her sister Betty Reep. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
