He is survived by: his mother Betty Shope; his wife Diane Shope; his children, Kyle Shope (Catalina), Kelly Browand (David) of Tennessee and Rebecca Ward (Stephan) of Tennessee; and his stepdaughters, Nikki Smeltzer (Mike) of North Carolina and Melissa Smith of North Carolina. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
