She was predeceased by: her parent Fred Brown; her husband Fred Penland; and her siblings, Perry Brown, Junior Brown, Mabel Lail, Lucille Irvin, Judy Haney and Irene Poole.
She is survived by: her parent Lula McMahan Brown; her brother Richard Brown; and her daughter Delta Dawn Penland. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
