She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mawmaw; her husband William "Bil" Thompson; her children, Richard Thompson (Twanna) of Gastonia, Barbara Thompson of Dallas, Tom Paul Thompson (Angie) of Dallas and Neil Curtis Thompson (Erin) of Cherryville; her grandchildren, Brooke Thompson, Kaytlin Thompson, Stephanie Mackey, Seanna Mackey, Jakub Thompson, Hunter Holland, Tyler Holland and Spencer Brittain; her great grandchildren, Kiera Shook, Marshall Vest and Mac Vest; her siblings, Johnny McLean (Rosie), Peggy Turner, Sandy Plonk (Steve), Shirley Robinson (Tommy) and Terry McLean; her siblings-in-law, Dave Leonard, Charles Thompson (Amy), James Thompson (Juanita), Mary Leonard (Bill), Helen Thompson, Shirley Womble (Jack) and Dorothy Richard (Robert); her nephew Eric Thompson (Crystal); her sister Margie Spivey (Larry); and her siblings-in-law, Robert Thompson (Mary) and Edna Leonard. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
