He is survived by: his wife Sandra Capps Smootz; his brother Ron Smootz (Alisse) of Clackamas, OR.; his grandchildren, Bradley Popwell of Maricopa, AZ., Zackery Popwell of Denver, CO., Natlie Popwell of Dallas, Rylee Popwell of Oklahoma, Jacob Popwell, Samantha Lovenburg of Highlands Ranch, CO., Fleicia Chrzanowski (Andrew) of Mainville, Tyler Welch of Stanley, Emma Smootz of Port Orchard, WA. and Matthew Smootz; and his great grandchildren, Kay, Kobly Chrzanowski and Savannah Chrzanowski.
