He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stroupe and Wilma Arthurs Stroupe; his wife Eddie Jean Harris Stroupe; and his sister Faye Stroupe Best. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Jean Stroupe and Ellen Harris Stroupe (Jim Helfrich); his brother-in-law James Best; his nieces, Janet Pyatt (Jim) and Joanna Huggins (Wes); and his nephew Martin Best (Janie).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 103 West Church Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
