It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Shelton of Dallas, North Carolina, born in Clarksville, Indiana, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Shelton and Gillie Shelton; his sister Laura "Flo" Cox (Deloris); his nephews, Greg and Mark; his former wife Delores Schlageter Shelton; his children, Lynn Ann Shelton-Hay (Brian), Mark Christopher Shelton, Gregory Alan Shelton, Joshua Shelton (Miriam) and Issac; his wife Vickey Elliott Shelton; his daughter Stephanie Elliott (Richard Abernethy); and his grandson Zachary Paul Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Scholarship Fund of First United Methodist Church, 190 E. Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, NC 28052.
