We are sad to announce that on October 20, 2024, Joyce Marie Watkins of Dallas, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joyce Marie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joyce Marie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Poarch and Mary Neal Fields Poarch. She is survived by: her husband Reginald Wilson Watkins; her daughter Leigh Ann Calvert (Parks Parrish); and her grandchildren, Addison Chase Calvert and Regan Grace Calvert.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 801 W Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
