He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther Ferguson and Eddie Shell Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bell Ferguson; his children, Tisha Ferguson and John Daniel Ferguson II (Wendy Baucom Ferguson); his grandchildren, Taylor Hughes Gary, Abby Grace Ferguson and Kate Maris Ferguson; his brother James E. Ferguson (Susan); and his sisters-in-law, Jean (Gary Poole) and Mary Ferguson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
