He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Leonard and Carlene Norris Lyles; and his son James Martin Lyles, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lewis Lyles; his children, Eddie Lyles, Cathy Lineberger (Johnny) and Lynne Cloninger (Barry); his grandchildren, Keith Lineberger (Brooke), Blake Lineberger, Heather Parrish (Lance) and Gary Meadows (Alyssa); his stepgrandson Mitchell Cloninger (Elli); his great grandchildren, Seth Kaylor, Ava Lineberger, Harper Meadows and Reese Meadows; and his siblings, Homer Lyles (Faye), Mike Lyles and Nell Lee.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required.
