He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Oliver and Lucille Roberson Oliver; and his sisters, Janice Barnhardt and Roma Nix. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Tinkler Oliver; his children, Anthony Oliver, Charlie Pendleton, Amanda Oliver, Alicia "Shelly" Oliver and Anissa "Buffy" Gates (Keith); his grandchildren, Kyle Gates (Payton) and McKenzie Gates; his great grandchild Bennett James Gates; his siblings, Louie Oliver (Gail), Jerry Oliver (Glenda), Sue Graham, Judy Lockaby and Connie Creason (Steve); his brothers-in-law, Max and Hugh Tinkler; his close friend Eddie Ward; and also, Alisha "Lisa" Morrow, Sean Leonard and Angie Pruitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
