She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Mercer and Nellie Bryant Mercer; her husband Jennings Ray Byers; and her siblings, Robert, Paul, Louise, Lois and Lola.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gene Mercer and Pearl Landers of Tennessee; her nephew Reverend Walter Moore (Jan); and her caregivers, Gloria Lyles, Mary and Larry Watson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
