He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertis L Summey, Sr. and Lula B. Summey; his wife Lois A. Summey; his siblings, Irene Hayes, Loy D. Summey, Clifton of Greensboro and Amos (Linda) of Shelby; his sons, Randy (Carolyn) and Dave (June); and his grandchildren, Barry (Kristy), Derek (Alisha), Jamie (Michael), Josh Dawson (Allison) and Caleb Dawson. He was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
