She was predeceased by: her parents, William Flay McGinnis and Myrtle Bryte Carpenter McGinnis; her husband Horace Huston Hedrick; and her siblings, Kathleen, Aggie, Jeanette, Anne, Margaret Ann, Howard, Claude, Richard and Ralph.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Head (Grady), Sandra Fortner (DeJuan) and Tony Hedrick (Becky); her grandchildren, Dwayne Johnson (Maria), DaKota Fortner and Trent Hedrick; and her great grandchildren, Dylan and Emilie Johnson. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Baptist Church (1534 Rolling Meadow Ln, Gastonia, NC 28054). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1982 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
