He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Caldwell Baumgardner and Edna Mae Alleman Bondowski; his son Adam Brice Baumgardner; his stepchildren, Cherly Bryson Friday and Charles Bryson, Jr.; and his sister Marietta Fleeger.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Savage Baumgardner; his children, Phyllis Ann Maderious and Brian Keith Baumgardner; his brothers, Ronald Duell and Phillip Baumgardner; and his grandchildren, Michael Friday (Kendra), Carol Ann Friday and Edward Friday (Kim). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home (2916 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
