He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Dixie Pilkington Byrd and John Lewis Carver; his wife Sandra Dianne Rowland Carver; his daughter Kimberly Carver; and his siblings, Verlin Carver, Willie Carver, Howard Carver, Thad Carver, Steve Byrd, Libby Stafford, Kanethia Bennett and Faye Rolland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terresa Minton (Alan) of Dallas and Linda Fidler (Jackie) of Dallas; and his siblings, Kay Cox, Lynn Nations, Glenn Byrd, Danny Byrd and David Byrd. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
