With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Smith (Dallas, North Carolina), born in Cosby, Tennessee, who passed away on November 28, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas H. Smith and Gertie Valentine Smith; his former wife Darlene Shults Smith; and his sister Edith Nolen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia C. Smith of Dallas; his sons, Russell Alan Smith of Bessemer City and Donovan "Donnie" Kyle Smith of Mooresville; and his siblings, Buford Smith, Bea Valentine, Dena Deese, Brenda Hill (Jerry) and Shirley Stallings (Ronnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
